What is the safe temperature for burning polymers?

I am doing a homework on the different methods of reusing polymers. This is a simple question, but i can't for the life of me find the answer on google. I understand that burning polymers releases harmful gases, but apparently if they are burnt at a certain temperature they do not release these toxic chemicals, at what temperature would this be?
